Obituary of Dorothy Russell

Dorothy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Catherine and John Loudon on December 14, 1921. Daughter, sister, wife, friend, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dorothy lived her life well, laughed often, loved many and was loved by even more. Growing up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she met and was married to the love of her life, Kenneth A. Russell for 66 wonderful years. Dorothy will be greatly missed by their children Kerry (Pat), Clayton, Danny and Ken (Barbra); her grandchildren Cody (Tara), Katie (Steven), Micaela and Spencer and great-grandchildren Owen, Ella and Tyler. Dorothy is predeceased by her sister Katherine (Harvey) and brothers David and Jack. Dorothy was a treasure to us all and we are grateful for the time she shared with us. Our deepest thanks go to the doctors and nurses at the Rockyview General Hospital Emergency, Surgical and I.C.U units. Our endless gratitude to Dr. Rina Strauss for her counsel, guidance and extraordinary care. A private family service will be held in Calgary.
