Julia Clark

Obituary of Julia Beatrice Clark

Julia Clark of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Julia was born on the family farm near Mather, Manitoba. She came into this world as a triplet and she, along with her two brothers, earned the title as one of the “oldest surviving triplets in Canada.” Julia was blessed with a long and fulfilling life and brought happiness to all who met her. She enjoyed a successful career as a registered nurse in Winnipeg, MB. She worked at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC during the war, and finished her nursing career at The Colonel Belcher Hospital in Calgary. Julia was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and spent her leisure time enjoying her home, garden, playing bridge and golf as well as her favourite activity – shopping, shopping and even more shopping. When the music started, the Taylor triplets were ready to sing and dance. Life was a celebration with love and laughter. They never failed to celebrate the milestones of their lives and organized family reunions to cement the ties of young and old in the hopes that the younger generation would carry on the tradition. Nothing was more important than family. Julia is survived by her five sons, Kim (Linda); Jerry; Chris (Yvonne); Cam (Dayelle); Kevin (Michelle); her nine grandchildren, Andrea (Dave); Cathy (Chris); Conner, Crystal; Lindsay (Chris); Blake (Sara); Aubrey; Taylor; Carter; and great-granddaughter, Andie; her brother Tom Taylor of Pilot Mound, MB; as well as by her good friend and loving companion, Gordon Ferraby. Julia was predeceased by her husband Allen in 1989; brothers Robert and William Taylor; sister Kathleen Baher; step-sisters Marg Morrish and Gladys Holland. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
