Obituary of Giovanni Silvestri

Giovanni Silvestri beloved husband of Natalina, of Calgary passed away on February 17, 2009 at the age of 73 years. Giovanni had a great love for his family and friends. As an accomplished tailor, he and his wife worked very hard in their own tailoring shop located in Kensington. He then became a proud owner of a grocery store where he worked for many more years. Giovanni had a great love for music and always picked up his accordion on a whim to play a tune. He was always happiest when he was surrounded with loving family and friends. In recent years he struggled with emphysema until his passing. We know he is breathing easy in the presence of God and resting peacefully. We will miss you dad. Giovanni is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Natalina; children, Antonietta, Frank (Kathy) and Gino; grandchildren, Giovanni (Jennifer) and Bono; sister, Filomena and brothers, Domenico (Carmela) and Lucio (Bruna). He will also be greatly missed by all his nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
