Obituary of Francis Edwin Crombie

Frank Crombie of Calgary, passed away on February 17, 2009 at the age of 63 years. Frank was born May 2, 1945 in Stirling, Scotland. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 where he attended high school. Frank worked for a time in the Uranium Mine in Thompson, Manitoba, before beginning his career with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation. Frank moved to Calgary in 1998 where he dedicated his time and energy in Fund Raising, for many charities throughout Calgary. Frank is survived by his sons, Jordan and Michael Crombie; daughter, Andrea (Mike) Griepsma and former wife, Jane Crombie. Frank is also survived by his brother David (Margaret) Crombie; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Jane and sister, Kate. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
