Obituary of Robert Charles McIntosh
Bob passed suddenly at his home in Calgary, on February 13, 2009 at the age of 68.
Born June 16, 1940, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, he finished high school and worked at Northland Refinery for three years. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman and received a degree in microbiology. He then returned to Calgary where he obtained a position in the Bonny Brook waste-water treatment facility. In 1969 he was hired as a laboratory supervisor at the plant. Overtime he was responsible for the development of the laboratory facilities and industrial testing program, which was recognized as the best facility in the country. In the later part of his career he was employed as an environmental scientist. He then retired from the city in 1999. He was an ardent golfer and photographer and enjoyed bird watching.
Bob is survived by his mother Marie McIntosh.
