Obituary of Ivan Maurice Loranger
Ivan Maurice Loranger, beloved husband of Pauline, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the age of 68 years.
Born in Earlton, Ontario he moved west in 1967 to seek his fortune, where he found Pauline and stayed. Ivan had a variety of careers in his life including prospector, hard rock miner, construction worker, core driller and caretaker until emphysema forced him to retire in 1989.
He had a great love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar, fiddle, mandolin and harmonica. Ivan will always be remembered as a devoted family man.
Ivan is survived by wife Pauline and daughters, Loretta (Richard),
Rhonda (Dennis); as well as five grandchildren, Joel, Courtney, Jeffrey, Carolyn, and Naomi, all of Calgary. He is also survived by his
Sisters, Cecile and Lucy; and brother Freddy, all of Ontario; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ivan was predeceased by his
parents, four sisters and a brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (7103-20A Street S.E.) on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (7103-20A street S.E.) on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
