Obituary of Dorothy Marion Gilbert
Dorothy Marion Gilbert of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the age of 56 years. Dorothy was born August 15, 1952, immigrating to Canada in 1957. She attended school in Red Deer and Calgary, AB graduating from William Aberhart. Dorothy’s post secondary studies took place at SAIT and Ryerson where she graduated in Library Sciences. When she was younger she was an enthusiastic traveller visiting the orient and Europe. Later Dorothy attended the Opera regularly. A long time employee of the Natural Gas Division for Imperial Oil, she enjoyed both the work and the companionship of her colleagues. Dorothy is survived by her loving father and stepmother Doug and Judith; sister Christine (Robert); two nieces Kathleen and Anne; and a nephew William. She was predeceased by her mother Jean and brother Stephen.
