Obituary of Antonio Volpi

Eight days following the loss of his wife of fifty-four years, Antonio Volpi left us to spend eternity with the woman he loved, wife Maria Angela. Antonio was a devoted father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family, Nando (Marie) and Reno (Lory); and grandchildren Codie (Ryan), Jessica, Katelin, Justin, and Ryan. Antonio was an avid gardener and was actively involved in the Calgary Italian Club, Knights of Columbus, Calgary Italian Sportsman Dinner and Our Lady of Grace Italian Church. Nonno will always be remembered for his giving heart, quick wit and infectious laugh that touched everyone around him. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14 Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
