Richard Antill

Obituary of Richard William Antill

Rick Antill beloved brother of Debra, Patricia and Geraldine passed away on February 13, 2009 at the age of 59 years. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Antill at the Foothills Hospital, while awaiting a second liver transplant. Rick contracted hepatitis C from a tainted blood transfusion but his good nature and amazingly positive attitude, kept him from complaining about the hand life had dealt him. Rick was born in Moose Jaw, SK on September 1, 1949. He was an avid golfer and curler and had great knowledge and recall of all aspects of his favourite sports. Rick always looked forward to the annual “Boys” golf weekends, where his sense of humour and wonderfully compliant personality will be greatly missed. Rick was retired from Saskatchewan Property Management Corp., where he was employed as a building maintenance operator. Rick spent most of his life in Saskatchewan until his move to Calgary in 2005. Rick is survived by sisters; Debra Temple (Dan) of Calgary, Geraldine Schultz of Moose Jaw, Pat Strevens of Douglas, MB; nieces, Katie, Susie, Melanie, Lorianne, and Leslie; nephews, Porter, Darcy & Kelly. Rick was predeceased by parents, Ernest and Mary of Moose Jaw; brother-in-laws, Glen Schultz and Albert Strevens. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 Elbow Dr. SW onWednesday, February 18 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Special thanks to all those at Foothills Medical Centre who cared for Rick, especially the liver transplant team.
