Obituary of Bibianne Marie Macdonald

Bibianne Macdonald passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Bibianne was born on May 5, 1917 in Lameque, NB. She was one of sixteen children born to Arthur and Marie Ann Hache. Bibianne married Percy A. Macdonald on April 9, 1941 and they moved to Charlottetown, PEI, where she resided for thirty years. She moved to Calgary in the early 1970’s to be near her children. She was an active domestic homemaker most of her life, and not only cared for her own family, but also was employed by other families as a caregiver for children and adults needing assistance. She was a long time member of the Catholic’s Women’s League both in PEI and Calgary. Her faith was an important aspect of her life and she was dedicated in its practice. She was a parishioner of the St. Luke’s Catholic Church for over twenty-five years. Bibianne is survived by her five children, Pauline St. Amant (Phillip) of California, Margaret-Ann Macdonald of Calgary, Louis Macdonald (Carrie) and Andrew Macdonald (Eileen) both of Cochrane, and Michelle Carr (Bob) of Oyen; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and by three siblings and their spouses. Bibianne was predeceased by her husband Percy A. Macdonald on February 9, 1992, and by a grandson Kristen Carr on February 7, 1999.
