Obituary of Felice Antonello

Felice Antonello, beloved husband of Santa Antonello of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Felice was born in San Martino di Lupari, Padova, Italy and immigrated to southern Alberta in December 1950. He started life in Canada as a farmer and worked in various industries and retired as a Cabinet Maker for the provincial government in Alberta. Felice was a man of integrity and passion. Family and friends were very important to him and he maintained those relationships throughout his life. Besides his loving wife of sixty-two years, Felice is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bruno and Sandra Antonello, Gordon Antonello, and John Antonello and Rebecca Pembrook; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Roger Slack; five grandchildren, Chelsey, Jason, and Danielle and her husband Rocky Wannamaker, Reid and Kristen. He is also survived by his brother Rev. Arduino Antonello of Brazil. Felice was predeceased by his granddaughter Andrea Slack. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in St. Joseph’s Section at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
