Obituary of Betty Henuset

Betty Henuset of Calgary passed away peacefully in her home, with her family by her side on February 11, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was born in Victoria, BC where she lived until she was married to Henry Henuset. It was with Henry that she moved to Pipestone, MB and then on to Virden, MB. Betty and Henry later moved to Calgary where they settled with their family. Betty made so many incredible friends in all of her travels and she kept close with them until her passing. She lived an active lifestyle of golfing, curling and swimming. She loved to walk the beach in Florida and spent half of her year in Marco Island. For many years Betty co-owned and operated a high-end woman’s apparel boutique and was always keenly interested in fashion and current events. Her spark for life and outgoing nature made an impact on all who knew her. Betty devoted her life to her family and friends. Her kindness and unconditional love will live in our hearts forever. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Henry; sisters, Flo and Tiny; and brother Ted. She leaves behind two daughters Sandra (Ted) Bridgett, and Karen (Ivan) Smith; and a son, Wayne (Elizabeth) Henuset. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Charleen Bridgett (Jim Schave), Shelley Dee (Kieran) Freshwater, Kristine (Kevin) Murphy, Michelle (James) Waddock, Scott (Suzanne) Henuset, Reid (Karen) Henuset, and Michael Henuset; and eleven great-grandchildren.
