Obituary of Maxwell George Beattie

Maxwell George Baron Beattie of Calgary entered God’s eternal rest on Saturday Feb 7, 2009 at the age of 89 years. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Amay and son-in-law Don Dufault; two grand-children Tania (Trevor McIvor) and Paul; two great-grand children Madeleine and Gregor; step-daughter Dorrit (Gary) Webb; sister-in-law Marjorie Beattie and seven nephews; and many family members and friends. Maxwell was predeceased by his wife Nora, brother Gordon, sister, Jeanne and grandson Olivier. Maxwell retired after WWII from the Royal British Army with the honorary rank of Major having served in the U.K., India, Burma and Indonesia. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Maxwell’s Life will be held at Varsity Bible Church (4807 Valiant Drive N.W. 403-288-1121) on Tuesday February 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
