Obituary of Mervin Percy Kelly

Merv Kelly, beloved husband of Fran Kelly of Calgary, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Merv had a lengthy career with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1943-1974 retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He followed this career with ten years with the provincial government, taking full retirement in 1984. Merv was a life long sportsman, enjoying hockey, baseball and golf, both as a participant and avid spectator. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially taking them camping in the summer. Besides his loving wife Fran, Merv is survived by his Children and their spouses, Pat and Len Rabey, Ron and Marion Kelly; grandchildren and their spouses Shawna and Dave Weir, Kelly and Mark Stanton, and Sean Kelly; one great-grandchild Ty Stanton. Merv was predeceased by his parents Percy and Maude Kelly.
