Obituary of Charles Barry Mark McElligott

Charles “Barry” Mark McElligott passed away at home in Airdrie, AB after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, with his wife and son at his bedside on Friday, February 6, 2009 at the age of 57 years. Barry leaves to mourn Victoria, his loving wife and best friend of 35 years; and his son Barry Jr., his pride and joy; as well as his “special bud”. Barry is also survived by his mother Carmel (Patrick) O’Doherty, of North Vancouver, BC; his brothers Paul (Colleen) McElligott, of North Vancouver, and Sean (Lucie) McElligott, of Montreal, QC; sisters Linda (Pierre) Pilon, of Whitby, ON, and Carol (Leo) Lefebvre, of Airdrie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Barry was predeceased by his daughter Kristy Marie and his father Mark. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1305 Main Street, Airdrie, Alberta on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1305 Main Street, Airdrie, AB on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
