Obituary of Shellie Ann Shymka

Shellie Ann Shymka beloved wife of James Shymka of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 after a courageous struggle with cancer at the age of 43 years. Shellie was born on December 20, 1965 in Saskatoon, SK. In 1977 the Anderson family moved to Calgary, AB. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Calgary Shellie pursued further studies to become a Chartered Accountant. On May 9, 1987, she married James Shymka. They lived and worked in Vancouver, BC for seven years and had their first son, Andrew in 1993. Moving to Calgary in 1994 and having three more children. Shellie was a devoted mother, she especially enjoyed family celebrations and vacations. Besides her loving husband, Jim, Shellie is survived by her children Andrew, Natalie, Alex and Will. She is also survived by her parents Jean and Syd Anderson; and her sister and brother-in-law Kim and Jeff Campbell. A Private Family Service has been held.
