Obituary of Freda Hadfield

Freda Hadfield of Calgary passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Born on September 30, 1926 in Stockton-On-Tees, England. Freda met and married the love of her life, Henry Vincent Hadfield, in England. They immigrated to Canada in 1951 and lived throughout Western Canada until 1981, when Freda returned to Calgary. Freda is survived by daughter, Pam (Randy) York; son, Geoff (Colleen) Hadfield; sister, Lily (John) Robinson of England; granddaughter, Teresa York (Don Topper); and grandson, Russ York. Freda was predeceased by her infant daughter, Valerie Ann, in 1951; loving husband, Vin, in 1981; brother, Harry Wilkinson; and their parents, Fred and Hilda Wilkinson. Freda will be forever missed but lovingly remembered for her strength and courage.
