Obituary of Vivian Inez Umbach

Vivian Inez Umbach of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the age of 86 years. Vivian enjoyed many years of selling tickets for the Stampede Grandstand Show, helping tourists from around the world. Over several decades she volunteered for hospital auxiliaries, contributing to activities that raised money for needed equipment. She enjoyed many friendships developed over bridge tables in Calgary and during the years she and Ron spent in Sidney, BC. Vivian was the dearly beloved mother of Gerald (Penny), Judith, and Ruth (Dennis) Hoover; grandmother of Gerald, Robert, and Rachel; and, great-grandmother of Elija, Tiarrah, Zeus, Gillian, Lydia and Zoe. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ronald, in 2001. She will be remembered fondly by family, friends and neighbours.
