Andy Bryant, beloved husband of Terrie and father to Tessa and Sean, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Andy was born in Montreal, and raised in Edmonton and Calgary where he met Terrie on a blind date. Andy embraced Terrie’s love of the outdoors, back country skiing and mountain biking. The "Core 4" expressed love everyday to one another. Andy was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend of remarkable integrity, deep conviction, unfailing loyalty, good humour and enduring optimism. Andy was "Mr. Make Things Happen” and lived his work through a rewarding career. He began this career as a youth volunteer with the PC Party of Canada and later as an Executive Assistant to the Hon. Don Mazankowski, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada in Ottawa during the early 90’s. He returned to Alberta as a development executive for Alberta charitable and industry organizations and subsequently in management positions with the horse industry. Andy was the longest serving President & Chief Operating Officer of Horse Racing Alberta.
