Obituary of Veronica Galvin
Veronica "Bonnie" Galvin of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2009. She was 86.
Bonnie was born in Saskatchewan and graduated from nursing at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. She was very proud to be a member of St. Paul’s Hospital alumni. Upon completing the program, Bonnie moved to Banff, where she met and shortly afterwards married Fay Galvin. Bonnie often reminisced about the wonderful times they shared in Banff. They also lived in Ottawa and Calgary, where she finished her career at the Baker Sanatorium.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Mary Jeffers (Harold) and Jean Galvin; and three grandchildren, Christine, Scott, and Laura. She was predeceased by her husband Fay in 1992 and their two sons, Tommy in 1977 and Pat in 1995.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
