Obituary of Lori-Anne Weitz

Our beloved Lori-Anne, treasured wife of Dennis Weitz of Airdrie passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the age of 53 years. Born April 19, 1955 in Cornwall, ON, she was raised in Edmonton and upon graduating high school moved to Calgary to attend Art school. She had a long and wonderful career with Canada Safeway where she was respected and loved by everyone she touched. The last five years were spent helping Dennis run DenLor Bobcat, the family business. Lori always cared more about other people than she did herself and always put others needs above her own – it was just how she lived her life. She was the quintessential Wife, Mother, Big Sister and Friend – a beautiful lady who lived a life full of grace and class. An accomplished artist she will live forever in her drawings and painted glass. The emptiness she leaves behind can never be filled. We who are left behind will never be whole. The family requests that you live your life to the fullest – find joy in each day and love your family above all else. Her light will never be dimmed. Lori-Anne leaves behind the love of her life, husband Dennis; the jewel of her eye son Justin; stepsons, Robert (Amanda) Weitz, Jeffrey (Jenna) Weitz and three precious grandchildren, Madeline, Robyn and Caitlin. She also leaves her brother, Keith (Claire) Hertz; sisters, Karen (Grant) Morwick and Maureen Hertz, as well as many brothers and sister’s in-law and many neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents George and Irene, as well as many aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. Lori had many special friends that she held close – friendships that have lasted decades. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Pauls Catholic Church (1305 Main Street Airdrie) on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Pauls Catholic Church (1305 Main Street Airdrie) on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
