Obituary of David Scott
David Scott, beloved husband of Anne Scott, of Calgary, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the age of 68 years.
David was born in Toronto on March 28, 1940. David began his career in the pipeline industry in Toronto and was transferred to Calgary in 1966. Here David met the love of his life, Anne, and they were married on July 6, 1968. They were blessed with two wonderful daughters Stacie and Deena. David was very involved throughout his career at the Regional, National and International levels of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, making many lifelong friends. He also had a great passion for golf; David enjoyed being in the company of his friends rehashing each hole played, stroke by stroke. He will be dearly missed for his repertoire of jokes and stories. David especially loved to be with his family; he was a loving and devoted husband, father, colleague and friend, always placing the needs of others before his own.
David is survived by his loving wife Anne, daughters, Stacie (Ben Loucks) of Calgary and Deena (Al) Duke and their children, Larissa and Samantha of Ponoka, AB., and his best friend and “Brother” of over 40 years, Bill Andersen. He is also survived by his close friend, Mary Jardine and family.
