I found your genealogy page today, and wanted to contact you to say thank you because I discovered some information about family links that I was missing. I will probably find more, once I collect my thoughts on what I have learned. I am connected to your people through the Choquette/Gregoire marriage of 1838. I have been digging into my family history since 2001. I couldn’t imagine doing it without the internet. Many thanks for your efforts, and the branch that it filled out.

I discovered Otto Palfenier in Feb of 2008 when doing research on my family tree. It so happened he did research on one person whose grandfather was also my g-g-g-grandfather and he had all the family branches documented down the line to even include my grandmother. It helped me expand my tree for which I will always be grateful. I contacted him to thank him and sent him a link to my tree which he visited and commented on how complete it was with so many people and saw the decendants beyond my grandmother. I had him to thank for adding so much to my tree. He had told me then that he had been diagnosed and it was terminal. I just found this page and learned of his passing. I had archived the emails we exchanged and just went back a reread them. So sad to see him go. Rest in peace Otto Palfenier. My condolences to his family.
