Obituary of Van Bladel

Mary Van Bladel of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Mary was born in Waalwijk, Holland. On August 22, 1950, Mary married Frits Van Bladel and immigrated to Canada in 1954. They resided in Calgary, where Mary dedicated herself to the care of husband and raising three children. Mary was very proud to have two wonderful grandchildren, and treasured the time she enjoyed in the company of her family. Mary is survived by her children, Petronella Van Bladel of Calgary, Arnie Van Bladel of Vancouver, BC and Cheryl and Lyle Richardet of Calgary; and her grandchildren, Ryan and Chelsea Richardet of Calgary. Maria is also survived by two sisters and numerous family members in Holland. She was predeceased by her husband Frits in 1984. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14th Street S.W.) on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
