Obituary of Dion Rex Black

It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Dean on Monday, January 5, 2009 at the age of 45 years. Dean was born on December 4, 1963 and lived his life on the Siksika Nation amongst his family and many friends. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his children; Trey, Dulcie, Julian, Raven, Darrin, Randi; step-daughters Amber and Angel; and their mother Stephanie; his siblings, Bettina, Melvina, Grant, Ursula, Colona, Graham and Jerry; and uncles, aunties, and close relatives of the Wolf Ear’s, Black’s, and extended families and numerous friends. Dean was predeceased by his parents Miranda (nee Wolf Ear) and Nelson Black. Wake Services will be held at the Siksika Community Centre (Siksika Nation, AB) on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be St. John the Divine Anglican Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
