Obituary of Bette Phyllis E. Rau

“For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations.” Psalm 100:5 Mother and Matriarch Bette Rau returned home to the arms of her Lord and Saviour while surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 37 years, Adolf Michael Rau and their grandson Michael Adolf Joseph Rau. Bette leaves to mourn her son Michael (Shirley) of James River, AB and grandchildren Eva (Patrick Conway), Margaret, Elizabeth (Kevin Walker), and Clinton (Jocelyn); son George (Sherri) of Calgary, and grandchildren Rhonda (Norman Dupuis) and Aimee (Cody Jorgenson); daughter Karolina (Warren Wilson) of High Prairie, AB and grandchildren Olivia (Steven Blum), John (Heather), Matthew (Erin), and George (Candace); son Stephen (Wendy) of Calgary and grandchildren Phillip (Jennifer), Tianna (George), Sarah, and Naomi; son John (Tammie) of Strathmore, AB and grandchildren Tyson (Ashley), Michala, Brittany, and Zachary; son Jerome (Maureen) of Carstairs, AB and grandchildren Michael, Kristen, Joshua, and Emily; as well as 23 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends. “To anyone who knew her, words are not enough. We love and miss you, Mom, and you will live on in our memories.” Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 – 45th Street S.E.) this evening, January 13, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
