It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, mother, sister-in-law and great-auntie. Cynthia was born on August 15, 1974 at Stony Plain, AB and passed away peacefully at the Foothill Medical Centre on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the age of 34 years. Cynthia received her education at the Morley Community School. Before her passing, Cynthia was employed at the Nakoda Lodge as the manager of housekeeping. She was a natural at native beadwork and also made traditional moss bags for the community and dancing outfits for her family. “Thin” also was active in helping make traditional teepees with the help of her parents. She always enjoyed being outdoors for family outings such as the annual family camping trips up to the Mountain Aire Lodge area west of Sundre, AB. In her early years she was an exceptional Barrel Racer in which she competed in Rodeos across Alberta leading up to her teenage years. Cynthia always enjoyed going to pow-wow celebrations with her family and she danced as a jingle dress dancer for a number of years until she had her first child. She was always the first person to lend a helping hand to her nieces and nephews at the pow-wows. Cynthia was a member of a big family, the Poucette, Wesley, Lefthand, Labelle, Holloway and Baptiste.
