Obituary of Eva Grace Dollar

Eva Grace Dollar passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 2, 2009 at the age of 58 years. Eva was born on April 14, 1950 in Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island and moved to Calgary in 1971. There, she found the love of her life, her diamond in the rough, Ernie, whom she married in 1975. One of her proudest achievements was becoming a loving and devoted mom to her two children, Madelene and Dustin. Eva enjoyed working at the Calgary Public Library and volunteering at Ogden Elementary School and her part in the family at Ogden United Church. Even after her MS made it difficult, she continued to be an active member of the community and an inspiration to all who met her. The things that brought her joy were time with friends, live music, travel (especially cruises), yoga, her photos and scrap booking. Eva learned very early that the secret to life is a smile. Eva is survived by her loving husband Ernie Dollar, children, Madelene (Chad) Bustard and Dustin (Kristin) Dollar; one grandchild, Keaton; sisters Marie Wood and Janet Eva; brothers, Stanley MacMillan, Montgomery MacMillan and Alan MacMillan. Eva was predeceased by her parents, Madelene and Arthur; her sister Eileen and brother Doug.
