Obituary of Muriel Jessie Reade

Muriel Jessie Reade of Calgary passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Born in Beckwith Township, ON on August 3, 1920, Muriel spent her youth in the Moose Jaw district, worked in Moose Jaw in her early years but lived in Calgary and worked for Canadian Western Natural Gas as a Secretary until she retired. She liked to play tennis, golf and cross-country ski and did some painting in her later years. Muriel is survived by a sister Genevieve (Gerald) Fysh of Coquitlam, BC; a brother Clifford (Vera) Reade of Edmonton, AB; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Jessie Mabel McLaren and William Anderson Reade; a brother Harold; and a sister Gladys (Ken) Burwood.
