Obituary of Anna D’orsogna

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Anna D’Orsogna of Calgary, announce her sudden passing in her home on December 24, 2008. She was surrounded by her family and lived a happy full life of 94 years. Anna was born on May 4, 1914 in Lanciano, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1972. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and adoring great grandmother. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her family, in particular the joy received from watching her great grandchildren grow. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Lina (Paul) Torriero, Rosa Maria (Pasqualino) Grossi and Rita D’orsogna; four grandchildren, Luigi (Franca) Torriero, Cinzia (David) Eremita, Silvia (Derek) Henning and Luigi Grossi; six great grandchildren, Nicole and Brianna Torriero, Ella and Thomas Eremita and Ryan and Anna Henning. She was predeceased by her husband, Luigi D’orsogna in 1970. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W) on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
