Obituary of Leo Bastarache

Leo beloved husband of Kathy passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 55 years. Leo was a person who couldn’t sit still, and he spent the vast majority of his career working for Canada Post Corporation as both a letter carrier and a driver. Leo enjoyed doing home renovations and took great pride in the renovations that he did on his Calgary home, including the building of his garage (along with the help of his Canada Post friends). Leo will be missed by his friends at Canada Post. Leo is survived by his wife, best friend, and soul mate Kathy; step-son James (Jaymie); son Adam (Pam); his unborn grandchild; daughter Lisa (Pam); his mother Rita; father-in-law Fred Whitehead; siblings, Annette (Gord), John (Linda), Vernon (Jane), Ray (Wanda) Lucille (Tom), Anna, Linda (Tom), and Jerry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Saturday, January 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
