Condolences
Watching my mother die was extremely emotional and unbelievably surreal.
I was fortunate however, to have spent some quality time with her before her
passing.
I was fortunate that I was able to tell her that I loved her and to thank her for all she did for me.
I was fortunate to hear her thank me for looking after her personal interests and that she too, loved me.
I was fortunate that I was able to share memories with her while we viewed old pictures and home movies.
I was fortunate to have known such a dynamic and positive person, a friend of so many, and who could virtually light up any room with her smile.
I was fortunate in that my mom was not in pain and had all her family present
at her bedside when she passed on.
Mostly, I was fortunate that this fine lady was my mother.
On July 30, 2009, we brought you home to rest with your parents and brothers. As you know, many attended the graveside service in your honour and all enjoyed the lunch afterward.
I think of you often mom, your good nature, your laughter, your warmth and your smile. And I miss you so much.
I’ll love you forever my sweet mother and may you rest in peace.
