Obituary of A.R. Hughes

A.R. (Tiny) Hughes passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 16th at the age of 91 years. Bert was born in Diamond City, Alberta and his youth was spent on the family farm. Tiny served overseas during World War II with the RCAF 410 squadron; he was a Pilot Officer. He was involved in the wholesale automotive supply business throughout his working career and together with his wife Lillian, owned and operated Totemobile Supply. Tiny will be lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law Terry and Beth Hughes; daughter Shelley Hughes; and sister-in-law Norean Wilson. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian in 1990 and a son Brian in 1953. The family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at the CareWest Sarcee C3 program whose kind and professional care enabled Tiny to live at home. A Memorial Service celebrating a life well lived, will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
