Obituary of Marilyn Yvonne Zubick

Marilyn Yvonne Zubick, a very special mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday December 10, 2008 at the age of 74 years. Our mom, is survived by her loving children, Cheryl (Josef), Lane (Brenda), Leann (Martin), Leslie, Lorelee (Rob), Karla (Ray), and Karen (Bruce); cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Curtis, Josh, Jordan, Lindsey, Melissa and Jonathan; brother Gerry (Lynne); sisters, Bernice and Norma (Arney); as well as numerous extended family and friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Russell and her parents Fred and Alma Befus. Marilyn was born and raised in Didsbury, AB. She completed her Nursing degree at Royal Alexandra in Edmonton and worked many years at the Calgary General Hospital, finishing her career at Rockyview Lodge in Crossfield, AB. Marilyn was an active member of the Crossroads Community Association for several years, along with her husband Russell, this encouraged her children to continue their passion for sports and community involvement. She will be lovingly remembered by her sense of humor and cheering on her children and grandchildren in their many athletic activities. Marilyn’s passions included golfing, going to the movies, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren.
