Obituary of Henry Pedersen

Henry Pedersen, of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Henry was born in Garner, Iowa and immigrated with his parents and older brothers, to the Standard/Chancellor area where the family farm was established. Henry met and married Ada Marie Fletcher in 1945 and raised their four children on the family farm before retiring to Calgary in 1969. Henry will be dearly missed, and is survived by his three loving sons; Leonard (Judy) of Calgary; Edward, of Montreal, PQ; and Joseph, of Strathmore, AB; his four grand-children; Laura Ann, Jacqueline, Carrie and Chad as well as his seven great-grand-children; Tyler, Josh, Nathan, Kayla, Erika, Taye-Lynn and Lauren. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Gordon and his wife Mary (Boots). Henry was predeceased by his wife, Ada Marie; son Richard; grand-son Timothy; brothers, Viggo and Berga (Bert) and sisters, Evelyn and Ester. Celebration of Henry’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
