Obituary of Joseph Gleddie

Joe Gleddie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the age of 93 years. He was born in Carlstadt, AB on April 14, 1915, and was the youngest of six children. He was a loving, gentle man who loved his Lord and exhibited the fruits of the Spirit in his life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He will be sorely missed by his family. Joe is lovingly remembered by his son, Darrel (Judy) Gleddie; daughter Linda Andreasen; granddaughters Christa Andreasen and Kelly (Eric) Proulx; great grandchildren Isabelle and Micah Proulx; and many nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his son Lawrence in 1964, wife Alba in 2000, and brothers Ingvald, Stein, Jens (“Jim”), Trygve, and sister Madge Jacobson. Funeral Services will be held at First Alliance Church (12345 – 40th Street S.E.) on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
