Obituary of Orazio Marra

Orazio Marra, beloved husband of Antonietta Marra of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Orazio was born in Pertruro, Italy and immigrated to Canada in the early 1950’s. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; who’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. Orazio was known for his friendly demeanour, his sense of humour and his ability to make friends and strike up a conversation with anyone. He earned the love and respect of all who knew him. He is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his loving wife Antonietta and survived by his children; son Carmine Marra and daughter and son-in-law Adele and Keith Stang; grandson Luca Stang; two brothers and sister-in-law Fiore Marra and Fulvio and Laura Marra; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Maria Lombardo, Geraldine and Gerry Apuzzo and Anna and Guido Urciuoli; uncle Nicola Marra; aunt Antonietta Marra; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Orazio was predeceased by his parents Carmine and Adelina Marra and uncle Antonio Marra.
