Obituary of Margaret Mary Coad

Margaret Mary Coad (nee Hagon) passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Friday, November 28, 2008 at the age of 93 years. Margaret was born on July 16, 1915 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After living in The Pas, Manitoba for most of her life, she moved to Calgary in 1996. She was a member of the United Church of Canada as a congregant and in the Women’s group, and was a lifetime member of the The Pas Branch of the Royal Purple. Margaret always felt her greatest achievement was her loving family, all of whom will miss her very much. She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward “Ted” and Carol Drinnan of Calgary, and James and Blanche Drinnan of Airdrie; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Alice Hagon of The Pas. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband George Drinnan, and second husband Laine Coad. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow in The Pas at a later date.
