Obituary of Brian John Slaunwhite

Brian Slaunwhite, beloved husband of Danah Slaunwhite of Calgary, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at the age of 53 years. Brian was born and raised in Kentville, Nova Scotia. He was an avid hockey player in his teens, goaltending for the Kentville Cornels where he was nicknamed “Sykes”. After working in Yellowknife for Mike’s Moving then Edmonton at Bristol Myers, Brian settled in Calgary and since 1990 started his own company B & S (Pro) Roofing Ltd. Besides his loving wife of twelve years, Brian is survived by a son Dray Edwards; a daughter Melissa Slaunwhite and four grandchildren, Joshua, Alexandria, Faith, and Matthew. He is also survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverley and Forrister Cann, Marilea and Wayne Campbel; and a brother Kenneth Slaunwhite, as well as eight nephews and six nieces. Brian was predeceased by his parents Irene and Carl Slaunwhite. Funeral Services will be held at the Standard Church of America (1307 – 10th Avenue S.E.) on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
