Ursula Peacock

Obituary of Ursula Emily Peacock

“Urs,” beloved wife of Fred Peacock of Calgary, passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2008 at the age of 92 years. Ursula passed as she lived, quietly and without a fuss. She was always there for her husband and children, never asking anything for herself. Her patience was astounding; no doubt fortified by her love of chocolate milkshakes and Lawrence Welk re-runs. “Urs”, “Mom”, “Auntie Urs”, “Nana”; she was all of these things. We will miss her erupting into song. Ursula is survived by her husband Fred; daughters and son-in-law, Leslie and Wolfgang Reinhardt, and Jane Dinning; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Robin McLeod; grandchildren, Stephen, Alex, Hillary, Kate, Jackson, Anders and Brenn; her caring niece and nephew-in-law, Kaye and Rick Madsen; and her nephew and niece-in-law, Doug and Shirley McArthur. She was predeceased by her parents, Godfrey and Emily Weston (nee Claxton); her precious sisters, Phyllis Weston and Stella McArthur. A Private family service will be held. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. The family would like to especially thank Linda Cascayan for the loving care she provided for these past few years. We don’t know what we would have done without her. We also want to thank her caregivers Sandra and Annelie. In living memory of Ursula Peacock, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Telephone: (403) 243-8200.
