Obituary of Stella Lewko

Stella Lewko, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2008 at the age of 75 years after a valiant battle with cancer. Stella spent the last years of her life at Bethany Home in Cochrane, AB, where she was happy and content. She had a zest for life, an independent nature and energy to spare. Although she eventually lost her battle with cancer, she did her very best to win the fight. Her energy, determination and good-natured spirit kept her active and happy long after she was expected to succumb to this disease. Stella was a delight and an inspiration to all who knew her. We are all fortunate to have had Stella in our lives. We know she will always be with us. We love you and will always miss you. Stella is lovingly remembered by her three children, Audrey (Vlad) Slowski, Donna (Derryl) Schendel and Lionel (Linda) Lewko and grandchildren, Ben Slowski, Rebecca (Scott) Wallis, Nathan (Brandi) Schendel, Adam Schendel, Quinton Lewko and Justin Lewko.
