Obituary of Arnold George Russell
Arnold George Russell beloved husband of Pamela of Springbank, AB, lost a courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on November 27, 2008 at the age of 64 years.
Arnold was born in Ottawa, ON to Mary Verna (nee Foster) and Arnold George Russell Sr. He later graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1966 from Surveying Engineering. His degree took him to the prairies, there he met and married the love of his life, Pamela Tania (nee Knox). Arnie, always the engineer, had a home project on the go to keep himself and Pam engaged in life and laughter. A dedicated man to his family and friends, he was also a loyal golf and hockey buddy. He always had time for a walk with “Wee Geordie” and more than enough energy and enthusiasm for his duties as ringmaster at Spruce Meadows.
Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Pam; daughters, Tracy (Jay) Craig and Christine Russell (David Costello); grand-daughters, McKenna Rayne and Morgan Scout; grand-son, Oliver Aidan Arnold; brother, David (Margot) Russell; sister, Nancy (Gerald) Smith; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
