Obituary of Giovanna Contrada

Giovanna Contrada, beloved wife of Frank Contrada of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008, at the age of 55 years. Giovanna was born in Naples, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1976. Besides her loving husband of thirty-two years, Giovanna is survived by her twin sons and a daughter, Francesco, Vincenzo and his wife Nancy and Angela and her husband Kevin Brennan and a grandson Sebastian Brennan. She is also survived by her mother Anna Foggiano; two sisters and brothers in-law, Mina and Gennaro D’Amore, and Tina and Francesco Fruttaldo all of Italy. Giovanna is also survived by her in-laws here in Calgary, Michele and Antonietta Contrada, Filomena and Albino Velcic, Lucia and Orazio DiManno, Tony and Clorinda Contrada, Mario and Adalgisa Contrada, and Fiorentino and Luigina Contrada of Italy. Giovanna also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and close friends both here in Canada and in Italy. Giovanna was predeceased by her father Vincenzo.
