Obituary of John C Mooney
Jack Mooney of Calgary passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the age of 84 years.
Jack was born in Calgary on November 20, 1924. He served overseas with the R.C.A.F. during the War. On returning to Canada he entered the Trucking Business where he spent his working years. After retirement Jack enjoyed golfing, wood-working and learning the computer. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 285 and the Kerby Centre.
Besides his loving wife Geraldine (Jerry); Jack is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Carol of High River and Dave and Pam of Okotoks. Although Jack wasn’t part of their lives he is also survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Gene) Porte and Debbie (Shayne) Clement all of Winnipeg. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
