Obituary of John Male

John Male beloved husband of Elisabeth Male of Calgary, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 at the age of 76 years. John was born on June 7, 1932 in London, England. John lived in England, Germany, and Canada. John was a Military Police Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces, he was posted with the UN Forces in Cyprus and performed budgeting and accounting for the U.S. Air Force Communication Squadron in Berlin. John also was a Comptroller with Robil Forms. John was a manager for Berlin junior ice hockey teams and coordinator for the German Ice Hockey Federation. John loved to travel and enjoyed cooking, he also loved to take long walks. He was President of the Horizon Village Homeowners Association for eight years. Besides his loving wife, John is survived by his children, daughter and son-in-law Mary Male-Bowers and Bill Bowers; son John A. Male all of Calgary; foster son Torsten Klink of Germany; grandchild Shaun (Jocelyn) Male; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Chase of Calgary; as well as his sisters, Gillian Pascoe, Susan (Bill) Coulls, Linda (Keith) Hellman; and his brother Nicholas (Mariane) Male all of England; brother-in- law Klause (Elsa) Grosse; sisters-in-law, Christa Blank and Annie Grosse all of Germany. John was predeceased by his parents Lord Fredric and Winifred Male and his brothers-in-law, Eric Pascoe; Wolfgang Grosse and Lothar Grosse.
