Obituary of Catherine Isabella Burkell

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Caye Burkell on Monday, November 17, 2008. Caye was born and raised in Calgary and spent much of her life in Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Kamloops before returning to Calgary in 2004. Caye is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Brenda and John Lawson and their children Chelsea and Jeremy; daughter-in-law Pat Burkell and her children Karen, Ian, and Gordon; brothers, Hughie and Richard MacInnes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ted Burkell and son Dr. Brian Burkell. A Celebration of Caye’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
