Obituary of Ruth Margaret Auchterlonie

Ruth passed away peacefully on November 14, 2008 at the age of 97 years. Ruth was a native Calgarian and a true born Alberta pioneer. Her family homesteaded at Lost Lake (Enchant, AB). She will be greatly missed for her sweet and caring ways with her family and her many friends. Through her courage, strength and will power, she overcame many challenges throughout her life, and was always putting her family first before herself. Ruth is lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Blaine L. Snyder; grandchildren, Lawrence L. Snyder, Judith D. Munro, Russell N. Snyder, and Cameron D. Snyder; great-grandchildren, Blaine and Ethan Munro, Zachery and Erica Snyder. Ruth was predeceased by her daughter Doreen B. Snyder (nee Wright), her grandson Kevin B. Snyder and her husbands Peter (Rusty) Auchterlonie, and George W. Wright. Special thanks to her granddaughter-in-law Charisma Snyder for all the many things she did to make Ruth’s quality of life all that much better and to grandson-in-law Don Munro who took the time out of his busy schedule to drive her to the many places she needed to be. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents at the Mayfair Care Centre for their loving care and support.
