Obituary of Edna Margaret Hunter-Wilson

Edna Margaret Hunter of Calgary passed away on November 13, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Edna was born on January 22, 1914 in Milnor, North Dakota. She was an active member of the Women of the Moose for over 50 years, and a member of the Go-Getters band and Choir. Edna loved music and was an accomplished musician. She could play the organ, piano, accordion and violin. Edna also loved to play cards and games with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking and made the best apple pies without question. Edna always cherished her family and friends and was blessed to have been given the family she had. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, who will be dearly missed. Edna is survived by her loving daughters, Arlene (Cecil) Underhill and Isabelle (Brock) Templeton; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Anne, Florence (George) and Hazel (Doug); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Jack Wilson and Jock Hunter and sisters, Ruby and Lila. A Celebration of Edna’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive NE) on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
