Obituary of Hazel Katherine Warren

Hazel (Helen) Katherine Warren of Calgary, passed away on November 12, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Helen was born September 10, 1925 in Selkirk, MB as one of ten children. She grew up in the Selkirk area and her adventurous side took her and sisters to Banff, AB. Helen worked in Banff and during this time met the love of her life, Robert. At the Warren household weekends were for friends and family; Helen loved to cook and entertain. Helen’s greatest passion was to travel with Robert and they enjoyed many snow bird years in Austin, TX and Scotsdale, AZ. Most of all Helen loved to be with her daughter Karen, as they enjoyed many outings together. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, always placing her family’s needs before her own. She will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched. Helen is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Lynn Warren (MacNeill). Grand dogs, Cody, Pokey and Charlie. Her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Anne, Lloyd and Dianne, Gary and Marg; brother, Herb; sister, Edie Harrison as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Robert on November 19, 2007; brothers and sisters, Glen, Malcom, Gladys (Bush), and Bernice (Brown).
