Obituary of Rae Eric Anderson

Rae Eric Anderson beloved husband of Tova Anderson of Calgary passed away on November 3 2008 at the age of 86 years. Rae was born and raised on the farm near Tofield, AB. At age 19, Rae joined the R.C.A.F as an aero engine mechanic, took his training at St. Thomas, then served No. 8 bombing and gunnery school at Lethbridge. Then in March of 1943, he went overseas to serve with 405 pathfinder squadron till the end of the war. After the war, Rae and his father, Eric farmed at Rich Valley till 1962,when they moved to Calgary, where Rae worked as a mechanic, machinist and welder, first at Scott Lake, then Wilmac Equipment, retiring in 1981. Rae was a long time member of Confederation Park Seniors Centre, serving on the board, dancing and floor curling. He was also with the Golden Fifties Club for many years. His generosity and thoughtfulness to others will be missed by all. Rae is survived by his wife Tova; brother, Arley; stepdaughter, Dorothy Ann Bertossa; stepson, Geoff Cory and nephews, Aaron Anderson, Don Carveth, Murray Anderson and Rae Carveth.
